LiftyBot 1.0

My teammate Lorenzo and I collaborated to design a fully autonomous robot (LiftyBot) that would aid individuals suffering from Hip Injuries, Arthritis, etc. The central objective of the design is to be able to follow an individual using facial recognition capabilities and detect objects such as Wallets, Keys, and iPhones utilizing the ultrasonic sensor mounted in the front of the bot. It is followed by the robot scooping the object onto the top frame, extending upwards to a designed height of 18’’ preventing individuals suffering from hip injuries from bending over which can cause additional problems.
